Central Plaza Hotel Q1 profit climbs 52.6% YOY

Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Ltd said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 42 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 48 satang per share.

EPS rose 52.6% year over year from 28 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 567.1 million baht, an increase of 52.6% from 371.6 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 11.0% from 8.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 11.5% on an annual basis to 5.18 billion baht from 4.65 billion baht, and total operating expenses grew 5.8% from the prior-year period to 4.08 billion baht from 3.86 billion baht.

Reported net income increased 66.1% on an annual basis to 833.8 million baht, or 62 satang per share, from 501.9 million baht, or 37 satang per share.
