South32 Ltd.'s chief technology officer, Ricus Grimbeek, is stepping down from his position to pursue other interests, the company said Aug. 10.

The company's alumina and aluminum output saw an increase to 1.32 million tonnes and 248,000 tonnes, respectively, in the fourth quarter of its fiscal 2017, compared to 1.30 million tonnes of alumina and 238,000 tonnes of aluminum produced in the year-ago period.
