Report: UK forex firm chaired by ex-Barclays CEO Jenkins eyes London listing

Currencies Direct Ltd., a U.K.-based foreign exchange and international payments services provider chaired by former Barclays Plc CEO Antony Jenkins, is weighing plans for a potential listing later in 2018, insiders told Sky News.

The company, which is owned by Corsair Capital and Palamon Capital Partners, will likely seek a London IPO but could still decide to pursue a private sale, the sources said, adding that plans are at an early stage and have no fixed timetable.

The valuation that Currencies Direct's shareholders would seek will likely be a multiple of the approximately £200 million for which it was sold in 2015, according to the Feb. 3 report.

Jenkins joined Currencies Direct in 2016, Sky News said.
