Redefine calls for resignation of detained Echo Polska director

Echo Polska Properties NV shareholder Redefine Properties Ltd. called for the resignation of the former's nonexecutive director, Przemyslaw Krych, following his detention by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland.

Redefine said in a release that Krych was not involved in the daily activities of Echo Polska, adding that the bureau's investigation relates to him in a personal capacity, rather than to his role at the company.

Nonexecutive directors Andrew Konig and Marc Wainer were cited as saying they have no reason to believe that Echo Polska was privy to any transactions that have transgressed the law.

Redefine held 39.6% of Echo Polska's outstanding common shares as at Nov. 24.
