Cowen Group Inc. has hired Eric Rose as a managing director on its options and event-driven strategies sales and trading team.

Rose is a senior derivatives trader who focuses on risk arbitrage and event-driven situations. He most recently directed equity derivatives trading and risk management for the event/special situations and healthcare sectors at Jefferies Group LLC.
