21st CenturyFox Inc. unit Fox News Network LLC filed a lawsuit againstCharter CommunicationsInc. over claims that Charter is seeking lower programming rates byusing its recent merger with Time Warner Cable Inc., Bloomberg News reported July 19,citing a court filing.

In a filing with a New York state court, Fox News argued thatCharter wants to set new rates on the basis of Time Warner Cable's agreementwith Fox News instead of using its own deal that was reached later. A Charterspokesman, meanwhile, said the company expects Fox News to honor the long-termdeal that it has with the network.

The suit comes after Univision Communications Inc. filed a similar against Charter and relatedentities earlier this month.
