A Fidelity National Financial Inc. unit is in final talks to pay a $65 million fine to settle government allegations that it filed fraudulent legal documents used in foreclosure cases, Bloomberg News reported, citing "a person familiar with the deal."
The unit, formerly known as Lender Processing Services Inc., paid $127 million to settle document execution allegations with several states in January 2013.
After acquiring Lender Processing Services in 2014, Fidelity National reorganized the former Lender Processing Services businesses, forming a new wholly owned subsidiary called Black Knight Financial Services Inc.
