Empresa Agroindustrial Cayaltí S.A.A. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to a loss of 116,880 soles, compared with a loss of 1.0 million soles in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to negative 2.6% from negative 33.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 43.9% on an annual basis to 4.6 million soles from 3.2 million soles, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 3.9 million soles from 4.0 million soles.
Reported net income totaled a loss of 187,000 soles, or a loss of 0 céntimos per share, compared to a loss of 1.7 million soles, or a loss of 7 céntimos per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Aug. 1, US$1 was equivalent to 3.35 soles.
