Nictus Holdings fiscal H2 profit climbs YOY

Nictus Holdings Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal second half ended March 31 was 26 Namibian cents per share, a gain from 7 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 14.1 million dollars, an increase from 3.7 million dollars in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew 27.7% year over year to 558.2 million dollars from 437.0 million dollars, and total operating expenses rose 26.5% year over year to 547.5 million dollars from 432.9 million dollars.

Reported net income fell 10.7% year over year to 20.2 million dollars, or 38 cents per share, from 22.6 million dollars, or 42 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 39 cents per share, a gain from 11 cents per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 21.0 million dollars, a gain from 5.8 million dollars in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 43.6% from the prior-year period to 1.04 billion dollars from 725.3 million dollars, and total operating expenses rose 42.1% on an annual basis to 1.03 billion dollars from 724.4 million dollars.

The company said reported net income increased 17.1% on an annual basis to 28.8 million dollars, or 54 cents per share, in the full year, from 24.5 million dollars, or 46 cents per share.

As of June 8, US$1 was equivalent to 12.58 Namibian dollars.
