AGRANA Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft fiscal Q3 profit climbs 15.3% YOY

AGRANA Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, amounted to €1.53 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €1.37 per share.

EPS climbed 15.7% year over year from €1.33.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €21.8 million, an increase of 15.3% from €18.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 3.4% from 3.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to €644.7 million from €629.5 million, and total operating expenses grew year over year to €612.3 million from €599.4 million.

Reported net income increased 38.5% year over year to €26.9 million, or €1.89 per share, from €19.4 million, or €1.36 per share.
