JPMorgan poaches senior AI exec from Google

Banking giant JPMorgan Chase & Co. hired Apoorv Saxena as head of artificial intelligence and machine learning services, and as head of asset and wealth management artificial intelligence technology, effective Aug. 31, CNBC reported Aug. 28, citing a memo.

Saxena, who will be based in Palo Alto, Calif., most recently worked at media and technology company Google LLC, where he was head of product management for cloud-based artificial intelligence, the report added.

According to a LinkedIn profile, Saxena began working in Google in 2012.
