D'Ieteren H1 profit climbs YOY

D'Ieteren SA said its normalized net income for the first half was €1.74 per share, a gain from €1.69 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €94.7 million, a gain from €92.1 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew 6.9% year over year to €3.42 billion from €3.20 billion, and total operating expenses rose 7.1% year over year to €3.25 billion from €3.03 billion.

Reported net income rose 19.7% on an annual basis to €131.4 million, or €2.42 per share, from €109.8 million, or €2.02 per share.
