Algonquin Power to acquire 50-MW solar plant from Invenergy

AlgonquinPower & Utilities Corp. is planning to acquire the 50-MWLuning solarfacility in Mineral County, Nev., from Invenergy LLC

Under a two-part transaction, Algonquin will purchasecontrolling stake in the facility through its subsidiary Liberty Utilities(CalPeco Electric) LLC. FirstarDevelopment LLC is expected to acquire the passive, noncontrollingmembership interests in the plant.

FERC was asked to issue an order by Nov. 7. (EC17-4)
