Union Bank ofIndia blocked an attempted cyberattack at its U.S. dollar account.
The bank said July 22 that there was an attempted cyberattackon one of its accounts but the money trail was promptly traced and blocked.There was no loss caused to the bank.
The bank commenced a cyber security forensic audit to plugany gaps in the system.
The announcement came in wake of notable cyberattacksinvolving the theft of millions of dollars of funds, including on 's ATMnetwork in Taiwan in July and another on Bangladesh central bank's account at theFederal Reserve Bank of New York in February.
