Shinhan Financial to create investment strategy division

Shinhan Financial Group Co. Ltd. will create an investment strategy division to manage assets worth 46 trillion South Korean won at its bank, life insurance and securities company units, The Chosun Ilbo reported Dec. 25.

Shinhan Financial will hold a board of directors meeting Dec. 26 to approve the plan.

A group vice president will be appointed to oversee the new division.

As of Dec. 25, US$1 was equivalent to 1,076.70 South Korean won.
