Japanese tire and rubber manufacturer Bridgestone Corp. said Oct. 17 that it will transfer it PureBeta component operations to Maruwa Co. Ltd., a Tokyo-based electronic components firm.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The transfer is part of Bridgestone's efforts to reorganize its diversified products lineup, according to the announcement.

Bridgestone's PureBeta line makes products that are adopted by semiconductor production equipment and semiconductor device manufacturers worldwide. The division was introduced in 2003.
