Sakai Ovex Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥47.29 per share, an increase of 46.9% from ¥32.20 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥305.3 million, an increase of 46.9% from ¥207.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 5.0% from 3.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 9.5% year over year to ¥6.16 billion from ¥5.63 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 9.0% on an annual basis to ¥5.81 billion from ¥5.33 billion.
Reported net income rose 47.7% on an annual basis to ¥296.9 million, or ¥46.00 per share, from ¥201.0 million, or ¥31.15 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥205.11 per share, an increase of 12.7% from ¥182.01 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.32 billion, an increase of 12.7% from ¥1.17 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 12.8% from the prior-year period to ¥24.84 billion from ¥22.03 billion, and total operating expenses grew 13.3% on an annual basis to ¥23.38 billion from ¥20.64 billion.
The company said reported net income came to ¥1.35 billion, or ¥208.60 per share, in the full year, compared with ¥1.33 billion, or ¥206.57 per share, the prior year.
As of June 22, US$1 was equivalent to ¥123.23.
