LS Power to purchase EV charging network from investment firm

Power and energy infrastructure owner LS Power Group signed a definitive agreement to acquire electric vehicle charging network EVgo from Vision Ridge Partners LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

EVgo was founded in 2010 and owns 750 sites and more than 1,250 fast chargers across the U.S. EVgo is now powered with 100% renewable energy, according to a Dec. 20 news release.

Upon deal close, expected in early 2020, EVgo will continue to operate as a stand-alone entity under LS Power.
