Mexican finance ministry taps new head for development banks

Mexican finance minister José Antonio Meade Kuribreña appointed Mario Govea Soria to be the ministry's head of development banks, according to an official statement on Aug. 11.

Govea Soria replaces Emilio Suárez Licona, who was appointed head of coordination with federal entities earlier in August.

According to the statement, Govea Soria is an economist from ITAM in Mexico and holds a master's degree in international commerce from the University of Bristol.
