Aker Solutions ASA was granted a front-end engineering and design study contract for the first platform of the BP Trinidad & Tobago LLCoperated Cypre project to develop oil and gas resources offshore Trinidad and Tobago.

The study, which will be finished in the summer of 2020, could lead to a full engineering, procurement and construction contract, which would combine greenfield and brownfield scopes to be executed from Aker's Aberdeen, U.K., London and Mumbai offices, the company said in a Dec. 10 new release.

Financial details were not disclosed.

BP Trinidad & Tobago is a partnership between oil major BP PLC and Spain's Repsol SA.
