Emerald Expositions Events Inc., an operator of business-to-business trade shows in the U.S., appointed Brian Field to be COO, effective June 1.

Field previously was COO of UBM Americas, a unit of Informa PLC, according to a May 22 news release.

The company also recently appointed Sally Shankland as its president and CEO.
