Argentina's Santander Río raises 5B pesos in short-term bond offering

Banco Santander Río SA raised 5.00 billion Argentine pesos in its oversubscribed Feb. 21 offering of short-term bonds, the bank said in a securities filing.

The company said it issued the maximum amount of the 12-month class XXII securities after receiving bids worth around 5.35 billion pesos. The interest rate of the notes, which will be issued on Feb. 23, was set at 26.25%.

As of Feb. 21, US$1 was equivalent to 19.87 Argentine pesos.
