J Escom Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to a loss of 92 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of 71 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥5.6 million, compared with a loss of ¥4.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 6.3% from negative 3.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 22.4% on an annual basis to ¥90.0 million from ¥116.0 million, and total operating expenses declined 21.0% on an annual basis to ¥94.0 million from ¥119.0 million.
Reported net income held steady year over year at a loss of ¥10.0 million, or a loss of ¥1.63 per share.
