London-based private equity firm Electra Private Equity said with its half-year results that it is evaluating a potential sale of some or all of its assets as well as a sale of the entire company.
The company, which has been undertaking a strategic review, cited the strong private equity market, especially for secondary sales, as driving its decision to explore a sale. It is in early stage discussions with interested parties around various groups of its assets, but there are not ongoing discussions for its entire portfolio. It has not received any offers for the entire company.
"In the last six months we have completed an in-depth review of the companies in our corporate portfolio with their management teams and we are confident that each of the controlled investments now has a deliverable strategy to grow value," Electra Chairman Neil Johnson said in a release.
The firm has engaged Greenhill & Co. International LLP to assist it in the sale process.
