Deal brings Universal Music artists back to Australia's FOXTEL

FOXTEL struck a new partnership dealwith VivendiSA's Universal MusicGroup for content on the Australian pay TV provider's four contemporary musicchannels. 

Under the terms of the deal announced July 12, UniversalMusic Group artists will be featured on FOXTEL's [V] HITS, MAX, Foxtel Smooth andCMC starting Aug. 1. The channels will feature video clips and additionalcontent from the music company. 

The two companies had been in a dispute regarding artistroyalty payments, and videos from Universal Music-affiliated artists stoppedappearing on FOXTEL's music channels in November 2015, Billboard reported July 12.
