Santander México repurchases 4.8M pesos of shares

Banco Santander (México) SA Institución de Banca Múltiple said it repurchased about 4.8 million Mexican pesos of its shares on May 22, representing 0.01% of the bank's total outstanding shares.

The buyback was executed through a new fund for up to 12.80 billion pesos worth of share repurchases, which was approved by shareholders in February.

As of May 22, US$1 was equivalent to 19.74 Mexican pesos.
