Nielsen inks deal for DISH set-top-box data

NielsenHoldings PLC entered into a multiyear agreement for unit DISHNetwork LLC's set-top-box data.

Under the agreement, Nielsen will integrate DISH's aggregatedset-top-box data with its national and local TV ratings service, according toan April 4 news release. Initially, the data provided by DISH will beintegrated into Nielsen's Local TV measurement service across all 210designated market areas.

Nielsen will also use DISH's set-top-box data to complementmany of its local and national products, such as Nielsen Scarborough, NielsenData Fusion, Nielsen Media Custom Insights, and multiple national insightservices.
