TransDigm to divest its Esterline Interface Technologies business group

TransDigm Group Inc. agreed to sell its Esterline Interface Technologies Ltd. group of businesses to an affiliate of KPS Capital Partners LP for about $190 million.

TranDigm expects to close the sale in the first quarter of its fiscal 2020, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Esterline Interface Technologies develops and manufactures interface solutions for medical, commercial, industrial, diagnostics and gaming markets. TransDigm acquired Esterline Interface Technologies as part of Esterline Technologies Corp. in March.

"This is part of our previously communicated plan to evaluate and potentially divest businesses that do not align well with TransDigm's strategy," TransDigm Executive Chairman W. Nicholas Howley said.
