Peugeot H1 profit climbs 8.2% YOY

Peugeot SA said its normalized net income for the first half was €1.17 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €1.20 per share.

EPS climbed year over year from €1.13.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.05 billion, a gain of 8.2% from €972.1 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 5.0% year over year to €29.16 billion from €27.78 billion, and total operating expenses climbed year over year to €27.12 billion from €25.94 billion.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to €1.25 billion, or €1.39 per share, from €1.21 billion, or €1.41 per share.
