Denmark's Financial Supervisory Authority has demanded Danske Bank A/S to bolster its surveillance of orders and transactions related to securities, following an investigation into the embattled lender, Reuters reported, citing a statement from the regulator.
The Danish financial watchdog, which carried out the probe from November 2018 to November 2019, said it identified "extensive and significant" weaknesses in Danske Bank's market surveillance and system support.
The regulator also ordered the bank to improve its automated alerts for market abuse, according to the newswire.
