Tower Resources Ltd. said Sept. 29 that drilling has started at its Rabbit North copper-gold property in Canada in the Kamloops Mining District of south-central British Columbia.
The 2016 exploration project will consist of up to 2,500 meters of diamond drilling, targeting a number of significant porphyry-related copper and gold occurrences.
North Rabbit comprises about 16,400 hectares near the New Afton mine, which is about 14.5 kilometers east of the main Rabbit North targets.
The program aims to test for copper and gold mineralization in four high-priority areas collectively associated with the composite Late Triassic Durand intrusive stock.
The company is looking to investigate the size and grade of mineralized areas at depth while focusing on possible geological and structural mineralization controls.
