Intel Corp. said in an amended ownership filing that its interest in wearable display device maker Vuzix Corp. fell to 15.4% from 18.3%.
Intel's diluted stake in Vuzix is a result of the latter increasing its outstanding common stock to 27,288,704 shares as of Jan. 26 from 22,174,742 shares as of Aug. 14, 2017.
On Jan. 26, Vuzix announced the closure of its public offering of 3 million shares of common stock and warrants to purchase up to 1.2 million shares.
Vuzix common stock beneficially owned by Intel remained unchanged at 4,962,600 shares.
Vuzix is a New York-based manufacturer of augmented reality smart glasses. On Feb. 2, Intel was reported to be planning on selling a majority stake in its $350 million augmented reality division.
