Chicago-based registered investment adviser Lodestar Investment Counsel LLC will join Focus Financial Partners Inc. partner firm Bartlett & Co. Wealth Management LLC.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter.

At closing, Bob Dearborn, Peter Flanzer, Mickey Herst, Krista Linn and Ed Ruthman will join Bartlett as managing directors and lead the combined firm's Chicago office.

Lodestar provides customized wealth and investment management services primarily to high-net-worth clients. Focus Financial Partners is a partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management firms.

Cambridge International Partners was financial adviser to Lodestar for the deal.
