Citigroup names India CEO

Citigroup Inc. appointed Ashu Khullar CEO of its India business, effective from April 1, The Economic Times reported March 9.

Khullar will replace Pramit Jhaveri as CEO of the India business. A Citi India spokesperson confirmed the development.

Khullar has held several senior roles across various divisions of Citi and has been co-head for corporate banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Jhaveri is set to become vice chairman of Citi's banking, capital markets and advisory business across Asia Pacific starting from April.
