Betacom fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Betacom SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to 40 groszy per share, a decline of 23.1% from 52 groszy per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 813,130 zlotys, a decrease of 23.1% from 1.1 million zlotys in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.9% from 3.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 51.5% year over year to 42.3 million zlotys from 27.9 million zlotys, and total operating expenses rose 55.4% year over year to 40.9 million zlotys from 26.3 million zlotys.

Reported net income declined 20.7% on an annual basis to 1.1 million zlotys, or 54 groszy per share, from 1.4 million zlotys, or 68 groszy per share.

As of Feb. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 3.90 zlotys.
