Boralex commissions 2 wind farms in France

Boralex Inc. announced Dec. 15 that it started commercial operations at the 23-MW Artois wind power plant in Aisne, France, and the 30-MW Chemin de Grès wind farm in Nord, France.

The Artois wind farm consists of seven wind turbines, and the Chemin de Grès wind facility is made up of nine wind turbines. These are the last wind farms Boralex commissioned in 2017 and add to a total of 635 MW of capacity operated by the company in France, according to a news release.

The power plants sell their output to Electricité de France SA under 15-year power purchase contracts, effective Dec. 1.
