KLRF fiscal Q3 loss narrows YOY

Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to a loss of 1.01 Indian rupees per share, compared with a loss of 1.55 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 5.1 million rupees, compared with a loss of 7.8 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to negative 1.1% from negative 1.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 27.0% year over year to 463.0 million rupees from 634.1 million rupees, and total operating expenses declined 28.5% year over year to 449.6 million rupees from 628.5 million rupees.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 4.3 million rupees, or a loss of 86 paise per share, compared to a loss of 8.5 million rupees, or a loss of 1.70 rupees per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of Feb. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 61.74 Indian rupees.
