NJR Clean Energy closes sale of Mont. wind farm to NorthWestern

NJR Clean Energy Ventures said June 4 that it closed the sale of a 9.7-MW wind farm in Montana to NorthWestern Energy for $18.5 million.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the transaction on May 18. "The completion of the sale of the Two Dot wind farm is the successful first step of our strategic plan, which targets the sale of our remaining onshore wind assets over the next 12 months," said New Jersey Resources Corp. COO Stephen Westhoven.

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence data, NJR Clean Energy also owns the 50.70-MW Alexander Wind Farm in Rush County, Kan.; the 20.7-MW Carroll Area Wind Farm in Carroll County, Iowa; the 6.1-MW Medicine Bow wind farm in Carbon County, Wyo.; and the 38.3-MW Ringer Hill Wind Farm in Somerset County, Pa.
