House Do fiscal Q2 profit climbs YOY

House Do Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to ¥29.15 per share, a gain from ¥12.76 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥247.5 million, a gain from ¥87.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 5.3% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 34.8% year over year to ¥4.66 billion from ¥3.46 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 29.0% from the prior-year period to ¥4.26 billion from ¥3.30 billion.

Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to ¥260.1 million, or ¥30.63 per share, from ¥102.5 million, or ¥14.89 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥112.83.
