Attorneys representing Sumner Redstone are holding talks withhis former girlfriend Manuela Herzer over claimsthat the chairman emeritus of CBSCorp. and Viacom Inc.is mentally incompetent, Bloomberg News reported April 5, citing sources familiarwith the details.

The case was reportedly scheduled to go to May 6. The case began when Herzer raisedconcerns about Redstone's mental health and filed a petition seeking reinstatementas his health care agent. Redstone's lawyers sought the dismissal of the case, whileone of those lawyers claimed that Herzer's motives are purely financial.

Meanwhile, Redstone has named his daughter Shari Redstone ashis new health-care agent, replacing Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman.
