FDIC, Fed ask inspectors general to look into possible living will leak

The FederalReserve and the FDIC have asked their inspectors general to look into informationabout their determinations on the largest banks' resolution plans that appearedin the press a day before the regulators released it.

Spokespeoplefor both regulators on April 13 confirmed the actions. On April 12, The Wall Street Journal that rulings on the resolution plans,also known as "living wills," would come in the week of April 11. Thereport also included information from anonymous sources on the likelihood of regulators'determinations on banks such as JPMorganChase & Co., State StreetCorp., Bank of New YorkMellon Corp., Bank of AmericaCorp. and Citigroup Inc.
