Patrick Byrne, founder and CEO of , is taking apersonal leave of absence for medical reasons.
Byrne recommended Mitch Edwards to be the acting CEO of the company,the company said April 11. It is unknown if Byrne will return to work.
Edwards has served as senior vice president and generalcounsel of Overstock.com since August 2015.
