GEOCON to transform Canberra site into A$380M mixed-use precinct

GEOCON is planning to transform the Woden town center in Canberra, Australia, into a A$380 million mixed-use precinct called WOVA, or WOden reVAmped, The Australian Financial Review reported.

The one-hectare redevelopment project will consist of a 24-story mixed-use building and three low-rise buildings, and will offer 800 apartments, office space and other facilities. GEOCON bought the site, which is currently occupied by Woden Tradies Club, for A$16 million.

Work on the project will begin in early 2019, with the first stage of apartment sales expected in 2018, the AFR added.
