Kering's Stella McCartney starts selling on Alibaba's luxury portal

Kering SA's British fashion label Stella McCartney opened a flash sale store on the "Luxury Pavilion" section of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.'s Tmall shopping platform, Jing Daily reported Dec. 26.

The flash sale launched Dec. 16 and will continue until Jan. 15, 2018, making use of the Chinese e-commerce giant's online pop-up store tool Tmall Space, according to the report.

The move reportedly signals a further easing of tensions between Kering and Alibaba over the issue of counterfeit goods, which previously included a lawsuit. In August, the companies teamed up to protect intellectual property rights as Kering agreed to dismiss the suit.
