Arata Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥48.75 per share, a decrease from ¥49.30 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥751.5 million, a decline from ¥760.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 0.4% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to ¥171.58 billion from ¥168.21 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥170.41 billion from ¥166.96 billion.
Reported net income grew 45.3% from the prior-year period to ¥683.0 million, or ¥44.31 per share, from ¥470.0 million, or ¥30.49 per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
