Adjuvant Cosme Japan fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Adjuvant Cosme Japan Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 20, 2015, amounted to ¥23.33 per share, a decline of 19.5% from ¥28.97 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥185.6 million, a decrease of 18.9% from ¥228.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 14.8% from 16.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 7.3% year over year to ¥1.26 billion from ¥1.35 billion, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥962.0 million from ¥1.00 billion.

Reported net income declined 18.5% year over year to ¥182.2 million, or ¥22.90 per share, from ¥223.6 million, or ¥28.32 per share.

As of Jan. 29, US$1 was equivalent to ¥120.99.
