Hokuetsu Bank Ltd. signed an agreement with Okasan Niigata Securities Co. for expanding the bank's range of services for customers.

Under the terms of the agreement, which takes effect Jan. 4, 2017, Hokuetsu Bank will refer its customers interested in relatively risky financial products to the securities firm. Japanese law prohibits banks from selling highly leveraged financial products.
