CITIC Securities sees Q1 profit fall 57% YOY

CITICSecurities Co. Ltd. said first-quarter profit attributable to theowners of the parent fell 57% year over year to 1.64 billion yuan from 3.82billion yuan.

EPS for the quarter ended March 31 slid to 14 fen from 35fen for the prior-year period.

The company's operating revenue totaled 7.60 billion yuan,down from 9.93 billion yuan in the prior-year period. Operating profitdecreased to 2.40 billion yuan from 5.20 billion yuan in the year-ago quarter.

Profit before income tax fell year over year to 2.41 billionyuan from 5.20 billion yuan. Total comprehensive income went down to 43.4million yuan from 5.06 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2015.

As of April 29, US$1was equivalent to 6.48 Chinese yuan.
