Bamboo Capital Partners secures investments for new impact fund

Bamboo Capital Partners received €10 million of first-loss capital commitments for its newly launched impact fund from the Government of Togo and Brazilian microfinance technology company Moeda Seeds Bank.

BLOC Fund, which will be managed by the private equity firm, aims to pull in €100 million to invest in energy, education, fast-moving consumer goods, financial inclusion and healthcare companies in emerging markets.

The fund will accept investments and will provide financing to companies in both euro and U.S. dollar currencies, as well as cryptocurrencies, which will be converted through a know-your-customer, or KYC, platform.
