said July 15that drilling has started at the Nambi prospect within its gold project inWestern Australia as part of its progressive exploration program.
Drilling is planned to comprisetwo reverse circulation/diamond drill holes to a depth of 500 meters, with aprovision for a third infill reverse circulation drill hole to 200 meters, totest the main lode at considerable depth.
According to the company, thestrong silica sulfide lode at Nambi has been previously mined by open pit todepths of around 60 meters and resource definition drilling has demonstratedthe lode's continuity, with a 52,000-ounce resource estimated to occur immediatelybeneath the pit.
The drill program is cofunded, upto A$75,000, by Western Australia's Department of Mines and Petroleum under its2016 Exploration Incentive Scheme.
Northern Manganese will use theinformation from the campaign, with the existing database, to re-estimateRedcliffe's resource for JORC compliance, as part of the overall upgrade andreview of the project.
